The Role

The Receptionist-Administrator role is a crucial to supporting the smooth operation of our practice. Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients with a warm and friendly demeanour;

  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records;

  • Handling phone calls and email inquiries;

  • Assisting healthcare professionals with administrative tasks to ensure seamless patient care;

  • Collaborating with our team to create a positive and supportive patient experience.

Working Hours

We are looking for our Receptionist and Administrator to work around 10-15 hours per week, spread across 3 to 5 days (Monday to Saturday).  The reception team works together to cover for holidays, so we are seeking someone with the flexibility to occasionally take on additional hours or days when needed.

Skills required

The candidate must have:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail;

  • The ability to remember key processes and ensure all tasks are handled correctly to ensure safe and efficient patient care;

  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to quickly learn and master our patient management system;

  • The ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent interruptions while managing various responsibilities;

  • A compassionate, patient-centred approach;

  • A kind and caring approach that aligns with our positive and supportive team culture;

  • Team-oriented - able to collaborate effectively and ensure tasks are seamlessly continued by others when needed.

  • Experience from a similar role, ideally within a medical or healthcare setting.
