What are the symptoms of peri-menopause?

Hormones impact so much of our body, our mind and how we feel. That’s why, when hormone levels change during peri-menopause and the menopause, women can experience a wide range of symptoms.

The symptoms many women think of are:

  • Hot flushes

  • Irregular, light or heavy periods

  • Difficulty sleeping

  • Palpitations


But did you know that these are common symptoms too:

  • Low mood, mood swings and low self-esteem

  • Anxiety

  • Memory or concentration issues (brain fog)

  • Headaches

  • Muscle aches and joint pain

  • Changed body shape and weight gain

  • Skin changes including dry and itchy skin

  • Reduced sex drive

  • Vaginal dryness and pain

  • Itching or discomfort during sex

  • Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
